A series of illustrations for an online magazine "unprinted"

Overview

"unprinted" is an online magazine that offers content to make the daily lives of digital designers more enjoyable. I was involved in the project from the initial stage and was in charge of a series of designs, from the visual identity to the site design.

I directed and created graphic assets such as cover images and illustrations for the articles. In this process, I focused on drawing each picture individually and building an illustration system that future members could operate in the long run.

Feature article covers

There are two main categories of content on "unprinted": learning articles, which offer a broad range of study for design, and feature articles, which provide interesting topics from various designers' perspectives.

The learning articles, which would be the initial main content, were what new visitors to "unprinted" would see and remember. In other words, they would create the image of the site. As a way of visually communicating the design concept, I strategically created the cover images using an intentionally limited color palette, following the rules of geometric shapes that are the basis of the brand's graphic elements. Since the number of learning articles will continue to be released, the defined guidelines and styles can be referenced to maintain consistency as the creator changes.
